Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information MockNPrep ("we", "us") collects when you use mocknprep.com, how it is used and stored, and the choices you have. If anything is unclear, contact us at [email protected].

Information we collect

• Account information — if you create an account: your name, email address, a securely hashed version of your password (never the password itself), and optionally the exam you're preparing for.
• Uploaded content — PDFs you upload and the questions and options extracted from them.
• Practice activity — which tests and topics you attempt, your answers, scores and timing, so your history, progress and ranking can be shown to you.
• Technical and usage data — pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location and similar information collected through cookies (see below).

You can use the PDF-upload practice tool without an account. In Practice by Exam, the first Easy set of every topic is free without an account; a free account unlocks every set and saves your history across visits.

How we use information

• To provide the service: running tests, scoring, saving history and retest mocks
• To show aggregate comparisons such as your rank and percentile on a practice set (other users are never identified)
• To send account emails such as verification messages
• To understand how the site is used and improve it
• To show advertising that keeps the practice tools free

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. MockNPrep uses:

• Essential cookies — to keep you signed in and remember basic settings
• Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics to measure how the site is used
• Advertising cookies — set by Google and its partners when ads are shown (see below)

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, although you may need to sign in again.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

MockNPrep uses Google AdSense to display ads. In line with Google's requirements:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and/or other sites on the internet.
• You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.

Analytics (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand traffic — which pages are visited, how long visits last, and general device and location information. This data is aggregated and does not include your MockNPrep account details. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Visitors from the EEA, UK and Switzerland

Where required by law, we ask for your consent before using cookies for personalised advertising, using a Google-certified consent management message. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time.

Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers that help us run MockNPrep — hosting, email delivery, Google Analytics, Google AdSense and an AI service (Anthropic) — each bound by its own privacy terms, or where required by law.

AI-assisted tagging

To label questions by subject, topic and difficulty, we use an AI service provided by Anthropic. For this, the text of a question and its options, including questions extracted from PDFs you upload, may be sent to that service. We never send your name, email address, password or account details. The AI does not write questions for your uploads; it only tags the ones already in your file.

Data storage and security

Account data, uploaded content and practice history are stored on secured servers operated for MockNPrep. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Data retention and deletion

We keep account data and practice history while your account is active. To delete your account and associated data, email [email protected] from your registered address and we'll process the request.

Children's privacy

MockNPrep is intended for competitive-exam aspirants aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll remove it.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page when our practices change and revise the date at the top.
