'Important tourist destinations of J&K' is written into the Junior Assistant syllabus by name, and tourist-place questions turn up in every other JKSSB paper too. The usual format is 'X is in which district?' — so the best way to learn them is district by district.

Srinagar

  • Mughal gardens: Shalimar Bagh (Jahangir, for Nur Jahan), Nishat Bagh (Asif Khan), Chashme Shahi (Shah Jahan's reign), Pari Mahal (Dara Shikoh)
  • Dal Lake, Shankaracharya Temple, Hazratbal, Jamia Masjid

Ganderbal
